Fuad Kiram is not the rightful Sultan, he is the younger brother of Sultan Mahakuttah Kiram of Sulu (1974-1986), Sultan Mahakuttah’s eldest son Muedzul Lail Tan Kiram was crowned Rajamuda (crown prince) in 1974 beside his father. So Muedzul Lail Tan Kiram is the rightful heir and Sultan of Sulu
