After thorough studies of the Royal Councils and the Ruma Bichara, his HRH Sultan Esmail D. Kiram has finally signed a decree authorizing to issue to all the Royal Sulu and North Borneo Traditional Kingdom Raayat's the identity passport that will identify the people of Sului and North Borneo Raayat's.
The complexity of identifying the raayat's of SSNBK through the political method has finally ended by issuing a traditional and cultural passport, that will identify all the people of SSNBK between Philippines and Malaysia. The issueance of traditional and cultural passport do not aim to replace the political passport protocolled under UN member nation between Malaysia and Philippines , but to further identify the peoiple of SSNBK under the traditional and cultural heritage that is standing tall untill this day.
The aim of the traditional and cultural passport for SSNBK people is to foster one cculture ,one tradition between two political country that will practically separate the sensitive political issue between them, the philippines being catholic and Malaysia being Muslim were both binded by one Malay culture under the traditional kingdom of SSNBK. SSNBK people are divided between the Philippines and Malaysia and therefore the issueance of passport will pave way for any misunderstanding under the political banner and give way to institute common goals to fonder under the traditional culture of SSNBK people serving both governments of the Philippines and Malaysia.
